I'm Back and With Some New Pictures

Sorry not to being very active the last few months. That is not to say I have not been working here and there on the Jameson family. I have been recently contacted by a couple of the descendants of Nellie Melvina Jameson due to my last blog Finding "Georgia Vorhies of Seelysburg". To any family members, please feel free to contact me. I love sharing information and pictures. I love just talking to distant family I have never met. I recently have returned from a trip from my Grandmother Jameson's home in Florida. I was looking for the obituary of Thomas Jameson, but did not find a copy unfortunately. I did find a few new (old) pictures that I wanted to share when I was down there. Also I have received a couple pictures from Tom Jameson and Trudy McGuire that I need to share. A number of the pictures are marked 'Jameson Art Gallery, Ironton, Ohio', so some of these may not be new to you Tom. When you get a chance Tom, give me some history on your Dad and his photography. Some of these pictures will be added to our cover page.

Margaret Vestilla (Jameson) Vaughn, Bessie Elvira (Jameson) Wolcott, Mary Emaline (Sears) Jameson, taken 1885

-A few interesting notes on this picture; by the time this picture was taken, Margaret had already been married and had had her first two children. She was living with her family in Michigan and must have been visiting Deshler when the picture was taken. This is a original copy of the photo.

top: Jennie Leuretta (Walker) Jameson, Claudia A. (Frent) Jameson; bottom: Karis Mildred (Jameson) Whitmer McCutchen, Carl Woodward Jameson, Hugh Edward Jameson, Grace Laverne (Jameson) Newcomer, and Lloyd Clell Jameson- taken 1904

-A few interesting notes on this picture; this was taken shortly after Charles William Jameson and Claudia married. Most likely Charles was taking the picture.

Margaret Vestilla (Jameson) Vaughn, Carl Woodward Jameson, and Claude Erle Jameson about 1870

Cecil Welby Jameson Family and home about 1940 (or before) Toledo, Oh

-A interesting note on this picture; I would love to identify his children and their spouses, but I have no other pictures on this line at this time

Carl Woodward Jameson at Thomas Jameson's former home in Morgan County

Charles William Jameson and Carl Woodward Jameson

Frederick Bertram Jameson and Carl Woodward Jameson

-A interesting note on these two pictures; In both of these pictures, Carl is definitely marked as being on the right; my Grandmother thought that both of these gentleman on the left were Walker's men. I compared them to other pictures and labeled the gentlemen on the left as I thought who they appear to be from other photos in my collection. If I am incorrect please let me know. I am almost sure they are both Jameson men and as marked above.

Hugh Edward Jameson, Lloyd Clell Jameson, and Robert Berg Jameson take about 1910

Tom Jameson sent me another copy of this same picture from his collection a few months back.

Hugh Edward Jameson,  Jennie Leuretta (Walker) Jameson, and baby Robert Berg Jameson taken 1906

I believe to be Robert Berg Jameson, could be my Grandfather, Richard Lee Jameson

Tom, what do you think? They are interchangeable. Marking is by from you dad's photo work?

Tom's answer "I'd vote for your grandfather. It doesn't look
like any of the pictures of my dad at that age, and I have never seen a
copy of it in my dad's picture collection."

I would have to settle on this is Richard Lee Jameson about 1928

Hugh Edward Jameson and Richard Lee Jameson at home in Jackson, MI taken about 1939

Avis Pearl Jameson, Jennie Leuretta (Walker), Lois Ashley Jameson; curiosity of Thomas A Jameson's collect

This is truly a one of a kind picture. These two little angels died shortly after this picture was taken. I do believe this may be the only picture of Avis and Lois to still be in existence.

Nellie Melvina (Jameson) Vorhies; curiosity of Trudy K. McGuire (I am sorry, I don't know if you have a married last name.)

Upcoming projects:
With my success from finding a number of the descendant's of Nellie (Jameson) Vorhies, I plan to post all of my genealogy list of family's on the blog. I also plan to complete my story on Ansley Sears and Thomas Jameson relationship as per the Civil War letters as I had listed before. I also plan to add a complete (as much as I can genealogy page to each family. Please feel free to contact me, to correct me! I also am going to apply for a number of marriage and death certificates through the state of Ohio. I also will continue on working to getting a copy of Thomas Jameson's obituary if it does exist.
